Senior Account Executive or Account Executive (Stamford, CT)
Job Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned quarterly and annual sales objectives
- Be responsible for prospecting, acquiring and solidifying client relationships
- Focus on developing and cultivating new and existing client relationships by understanding client business issues and recommending an appropriate research-enabled solution
- Generate incremental business within defined sales territory
- Learn and fully comprehend all of the Company's products and services
- Develop an understanding of current research processes and procedures
- Be responsible for consulting with clients on research design, provide insightful proposals and deliver strategic sales presentations either directly or with other team members
- Take a team leadership role and serve as a manager/mentor to the Account Executive(s) or Account Manager (s) within sector, if necessary
- Work with the Project Managers and Analytical Research Managers to execute project specifications and deliver superior quality research results to clients
Qualifications/Requirements
- Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in business, marketing, marketing research or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales, account management or client service capacity
- Recent strong sales experience necessary
- Experience with quantitative (particularly online) research executed within a full-service, custom service model a plus
- Able to meet with prospective clients, ability to travel as needed.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good people person
- Expertise with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
